Party Mix

I love trying variations to Party Mix, and still like the original one on the back of the Chex Mix boxes (except for doubling the spices). This twist on the Party Mix is scrumptious, and came to me from a friend of a friend.

Since my family eats this tasty stuff in one sitting, it’s only made twice each year—limited to the holiday season. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 12 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups Corn Chex
  • 2 cups Rice Chex
  • 2 cups Wheat Chex
  • 2 cups lightly salted mixed nuts
  • 2 cups whole pecans
  • 2 cups oyster crackers
  • 2 cups pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in microwave. In a large bowl add butter and seasonings. Stir well. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir well. Mix until all pieces are fully coated.

  2. Pour mixture onto 2 baking sheets.

  3. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove from oven and apply paper towels to soak up excess grease. Allow to cool. Store in airtight container.
